Meet the man who's carrying on the tradition with a fresh twist. Executive Chef Chandrassekaran. He started with the Taj Group almost three decades ago at The Taj Coromandel. He led the team at the Festival of India, Paris and has been instrumental in one of the most successful Indian Food Promotion in Sri Lanka. Chef Chandra, as he is fondly called, was a member of the Core team nominated for the first JRDQV Award.

He has researched and written a book on Chettinad food, culture and cuisine. In 2009 he was named 'The Chef of the Year' by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and received the award from the His Excellency The Vice President of India, Mr Hamid Ansari
